Adrian Selby is a Welsh-born British fantasy novelist who lives with his wife and family on the south coast of England. He studied creative writing at university and then spent about twelve years in video game production, working as a producer for several big-name studios before settling into IT project management. His debut novel, Snakewood (Orbit, 2016), an epic and inventive fantasy about a company of mercenaries and the assassin trying to destroy them, drew praise from Booklist as an impressive fantasy debut. It was followed by The Winter Road (2018), the story of an ex-soldier's attempt to build a road across a wilderness of warring clans, and Brother Red (2021), loosely connected standalone novels set in the same world. He describes himself as a Tolkien fanatic and an online gaming addict.
