Ed Gentry is an author of fantasy fiction set in the Forgotten Realms campaign world published by Wizards of the Coast. He is best known for Neversfall (2013), the first novel in The Citadels series, which follows a mercenary captain and an elite warrior sent to reinforce Neversfall, a stronghold meant to defend the southern lands of Estagund from the monster-infested wilderness of Veldorn, only to find themselves confronting threats from both inside and outside the fortress walls. The novel was also released as an audiobook narrated by Nicole Greevy. Gentry's work is grouped alongside contemporaries such as Mark Sehestedt, Bruce R. Cordell, and Richard Lee Byers, reflecting his place among the later wave of Forgotten Realms tie-in novelists writing for Wizards of the Coast in the early 2010s. Detailed independent biographical information about Gentry's personal background or career outside this novel remains limited in publicly available reference sources.
