Ellen Porath is an author known for her contributions to the Dragonlance fiction line published by TSR, Inc. Her work is set during the Preludes era of the Dragonlance timeline and forms part of the Meetings Sextet, a six-book series exploring the earlier lives and first encounters of the Heroes of the Lance before the events of the original Dragonlance Chronicles. Porath co-authored Kindred Spirits with Mark Anthony, the first book in the sextet, in which the dwarf Flint Fireforge receives a summons from the Speaker of the Sun and travels to the elven city of Qualinost amid magic and murder. She solely authored Steel and Stone, the fifth book in the sextet, which centers on the relationship between Kitiara Uth Matar and Tanis Half-Elven as the two navigate danger and each other's conflicting loyalties. Porath's novels helped flesh out the backstories of core Dragonlance characters during the franchise's expansion beyond its original trilogy. Detailed independent biographical information about her personal background remains limited in publicly available reference sources.
