Jane Cooper Hong is an American author who co-wrote Pool of Radiance (1989) with James M. Ward, a tie-in novel for TSR, Inc. published as part of the Forgotten Realms fiction line. The novel was based on the seminal Advanced Dungeons & Dragons video game of the same name, one of the first computer role-playing games licensed from the Forgotten Realms setting, and adapted its plot and characters into prose form for TSR's expanding novel catalog. Hong's collaboration with Ward, a longtime TSR game designer, situates her among the writers who helped translate the company's game properties into narrative fiction during the late 1980s, a period when TSR was rapidly building out the Forgotten Realms as a publishing franchise alongside its tabletop roots. Beyond this credited collaboration, detailed independent biographical information about Hong's personal background, other works, or career remains limited in publicly available reference sources.
