Rosemary Jones is an American fantasy and horror author whose career spans both licensed shared-world fiction and original work. She wrote multiple novels for the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms line, and later became a prominent contributor to Aconyte Books' Arkham Horror line of novels, writing Mask of Silver (2021), The Deadly Grimoire (2022), The Bootlegger's Dance (2023), The Nightmare Quest of April May (2025), and The Arcane Gamble of Harvey Walters (2025), along with a 2025 omnibus collection titled Visions & Nightmares. Her Arkham Horror fiction is set within the Lovecraftian pulp-horror board-game universe and has drawn consistent praise for its atmospheric storytelling and strong character development. Beyond her horror-adventure work, Jones also contributed the story "Wrecker of Engines" to the Cobalt City 20th Anniversary anthology and has written numerous other novellas and short stories across several genres. An avid collector of children's books, she has cited a lifelong passion for cinema from the silent and early sound eras as a key influence on her writing style and pacing. Jones has described her guiding philosophy as wanting readers to come away with "an enjoyable adventure," explaining that she channels her personal love of tabletop and board gaming directly into her narrative craft, a throughline connecting her Forgotten Realms fiction to her later horror-fantasy work.
