Synopsis
Akata Woman picks up after the events of Akata Warrior, with Sunny Nwazue now a member of the all-female Nimm Warriors alongside her companions Orlu, Chichi, and Sasha. A giant talking spider named Udide assigns the group a task: to locate and recover a stolen ghazal, an object taken by Chichi's mother, warning that failure will bring serious consequences for Sunny and her friends. The quest carries the group through a series of supernatural locations, including the spirit realm and the Nimm village, and into a parallel universe built on plant-based technology, as Sunny works to complete Udide's mission and prevent the spider from turning her anger on the Nimm women in retaliation for the theft.
