Synopsis
Sixteen-year-old Baxter Zevcenko runs the Spider, a schoolyard syndicate that sells smut, and things are going well for his business and his romance with his girlfriend Esme. Then Esme is kidnapped, and the clues point to supernatural forces. Baxter teams up with Jackson Ronin, a heavy-drinking, bearded bounty hunter who deals with the supernatural. Together they search Cape Town's hidden underworld for her, passing through impossible realms and facing nightmarish threats, including a brush with the Apocalypse itself.
