Synopsis
Angels are falling out of the sky over New York, and vampires in the city are dying of an unexplained disease. Elena Deveraux, a Guild hunter turned angel, and her consort, the Archangel Raphael, must find the source before the city is ruined and Raphael's Tower is placed under siege by rival archangels who sense weakness. Something darker than the sickness is also at work, a force that has fixed its attention on New York and on Raphael himself. As Elena and Raphael search for answers, tension rises among the powerful beings who rule the world, and the Cadre of archangels moves closer to open war. Elena and Raphael have to trust each other and their allies, because the danger is spreading faster than they can trace it.
