Synopsis
Eve wakes into a life that is not hers: a new home, a new face and a new name, and no memory of what came before. The people who look after her say she is in witness protection, hiding from a serial killer who uses magic and is still looking for her. They also want her to remember something hidden in her own mind. Eve takes a job as a library page and tries to act like any other teenager, while at night she dreams of a carnival tent. She has strange powers of her own, but each time she uses them she blacks out and loses her short-term memory. She has to work out who she really is.
