Synopsis
This is a collection of eight interconnected short stories set in the world of Paksenarrion, gathering lore and side tales from both the original Deed of Paksenarrion era and the later Paladin's Legacy era into one volume, including two stories that had not previously been published. Rather than forming a single continuous plot, the pieces revisit different corners and periods of the setting, expanding on characters and events referenced only briefly in the novels, with new author notes accompanying each story explaining its background. The collection is aimed at readers already familiar with Elizabeth Moon's Paksenarrion books who want additional material filling in the wider history and legends of that world rather than a new stand-alone narrative.
