Synopsis
Der kleine Wassermann is a children's story about a young water sprite who lives with his family in a mill pond. He has green hair, trousers made of fish scales and a red cap. Through the seasons of the pond he explores the water world around him, meeting fish, snails and mussels, and often spends time with his friend Cyprinus the carp. The book follows his small adventures in this watery neighbourhood until winter's ice closes over the pond.
