Synopsis

The War of the Spider Queen begins here. While their whole world changes around them, four dark elves of Menzoberranzan struggle against different enemies, yet their paths will lead them all to the most terrifying discovery in the long history of the drow, and set them on a quest to save not only the City of Spiders but the entire dark elf race from dissolution. The first book of the six-part War of the Spider Queen, released as part of Wizards of the Coast's Year of the Drow in 2002, with a prologue by the series' consultant, R. A. Salvatore. By Richard Lee Byers.
