Synopsis
High school senior Andrew Perrault writes twisted fairy tales for his close friend Thomas Rye. Thomas's abusive parents have vanished, and he arrives at school with blood on his sleeve and no explanation. His sketches of monsters from Andrew's stories are coming to life and killing people close to him. Andrew follows Thomas into a forbidden forest and joins him in nightly battles against the creatures. As their obsession grows, so do the monsters, and Andrew begins to suspect that stopping them may require destroying their creator.
