Synopsis
Dread Mountain is the fifth book in the Deltora Quest series. Having recovered four of the seven gems needed to restore the Belt of Deltora, Lief, Barda, and Jasmine journey toward the forbidding Dread Mountain, said to hold the emerald, the next stone required for their quest. The mountain's reputation for danger is well earned, and the companions must find a way through its perils to reach the hidden gem, continuing a search that has already cost them dearly and grows more urgent as the Shadow Lord's forces work to stop them from ever completing the Belt and restoring Deltora's protection.
