Synopsis
Ron is a runaway who arrives in Bordertown, a rough city on the edge of Faerie where elves, humans and people of mixed blood share the streets. Magic works there better than machines. He is looking for a place to belong and for his brother Tony, and he finds a used bookstore called Elsewhere, run by the armless Mickey, and a communal household known as Castle Pup. He takes a job at the shop and begins to settle in. Then a split in the household stirs up trouble and upends the life he has started to build, forcing him to decide who he can trust.
