Synopsis
Human invaders now control Calaius, and the great elven cities have become labour camps where enslaved elves must clear their own rainforest for timber. The few free elves are split into rival factions and must unite before they can resist. Auum wants them to fight at once, arguing that the human forces are numerous but poorly led and that humans wrongly believe the elves are already beaten. Takaar believes survival depends on reawakening elven magic rather than fighting open battles, even if some elves die for a freer future. The elves must choose a side.
