Synopsis
Katie Chandler, a small-town Texan, has spent about a year in New York City and is unhappy in her job when she is offered a mysterious position. She learns that the employer, Magic, Spells, and Illusions, Inc. (MSI), is a magic company, and that she herself is immune to magic. That immunity makes her useful for spotting fake spells and disguised intruders. She develops a crush on Owen, the shy head of research and development, as she and her new colleagues try to stop an evil competitor, the wizard Phelan Idris, from selling black magic on the street. The novel launched the Enchanted, Inc. series, a blend of romance, comedy and urban fantasy set in modern Manhattan.
