Synopsis
Abandoned as an infant at the Featherbed Inn in the kingdom of Ayortha, Aza was raised lovingly by the innkeeper and his wife. In Ayortha two qualities are prized above everything, beauty and singing, and while Aza's singing is the fairest in all the land, and the most unusual, she does not possess the other, and has hidden in the shadows of the inn. Fate takes her to Ontio Castle, where her voice charms everyone, including Prince Ijori. When the king is injured, his scheming new bride, Queen Ivi, blackmails Aza into becoming her lady-in-waiting and "illusing", throwing her voice so that it seems the queen can sing. With Ayortha verging on rebellion, Aza realises that Ivi's magic mirror will transform her into the fairest of all, but at a terrible price. A retelling of Snow White set in the world of Ella Enchanted.
