Synopsis
Orient has a talent for finding lost things, and it has cost him his place with his family. In Bordertown, the city beside the Border between the human world and Elfland, he works as a finder. There, technology and magic mix unpredictably: engines and guns sometimes fail, but magic always works. A police officer, Sunny Rico, asks him to find the killer of a drug-runner. The case grows more dangerous, his friend Tick-Tick falls ill in an epidemic that is spreading among the elves, and Orient finds himself drawn to Sunny.
