Synopsis

A few years after the events of Sunwing, Griffin Silverwing is the newborn son of Shade Silverwing and Marina Brightwing. When an earthquake hits and Griffin falls into the centre of the Underworld, his father, Shade, coming home to Tree Haven, must go after him to rescue him from the evil forces that reside in its dark depths, while the ruthless Goth, who has made it his personal goal to kill Shade, pursues them both. Firewing is the first book to bring the bat gods on stage as actual characters, after the bat religions had been only mentioned in the earlier books. The third book of the Silverwing series.
