Synopsis
Daisy Thistledown has spent her childhood travelling the world with her mother, a famous investigative journalist, until her mother takes a dangerous assignment and leaves her at a boarding school. When word comes that her mother has disappeared, Daisy escapes from the school with a mystery to solve, and the trail leads her, chased across London, through a hidden doorway into another world: the Greenwild, a rich and verdant land bursting with a deep magic that rises from the earth itself. There she finds herself confronting a dangerous presence that threatens green magic on both sides of the door, and must band together with a botanical prodigy, a boy who can talk to animals and a cat with an attitude to channel the power that can save the Greenwild, and her own world too. The first book of the trilogy, Pari Thomson's debut.
