Synopsis
A wealthy Londoner hires a shape-shifting assassin, Pie 'oh' pah, to kill his estranged wife Judith Odell, then regrets it and asks her former lover Gentle, a gifted art forger, to protect her. Drawn to the assassin, Gentle follows Pie out of Earth, the Fifth Dominion, into the four hidden worlds of the Imajica, while Judith finds her own way there. Their journey uncovers betrayals stretching back two centuries, Gentle's forgotten identity as a Maestro, and the plans of the god who sealed Earth away, as the time for a new Reconciliation of the Dominions approaches.
