Synopsis
Twelve-year-old Wini comes from a family of enchanters who run a bakery, and she has a real talent for magical baking. The shop is struggling, though. Magical ingredients are getting more expensive, and customers stay away because of the reputation of her birth mother, a curse worker. Wini decides to gather affection from the townspeople and bake it into her treats, even though this breaks the rules of the Enchantment Agency, and the spell goes badly wrong. Meanwhile Kali, a novice word enchanter, arrives in town with her father and her grandfather, a retired agent whom many locals resent. The two girls bond as outsiders and look for a way to repair the town's magic.
