Synopsis
The Mechanical Circus Tresaulti pitches its tents outside cities that are still standing, and crowds gather to watch its brass-and-copper performers: the strongman Ayar, the acrobatic Grimaldi Brothers, and Elena, an aerialist who works on living trapezes. War surrounds the troupe, yet the circus makes the world feel magical for the length of a show. That magic is credited to Boss, the ringmaster, who has built the company from the ground up as a mechanical troupe designed to survive a harsh landscape. Two performers become caught in a secret standoff that could split the circus apart just as the war reaches its doorstep, forcing the company to fight on two fronts.
