Synopsis
Mina loves the night. While everyone else is in a deep slumber she gazes out of the window at the moon's silvery light, and the blank notebook that has lain on the table for what seems like forever at last becomes her journal, filled with stories, dreams, lessons, poems and extraordinary facts. Having left St Bede's Middle School to be homeschooled by her mother, she makes discoveries both trivial and profound about herself and her world, in a prequel that revisits Mina before she has met Michael, and before she has met Skellig.
