Synopsis
In this prequel, set between Ragweed and Poppy, the golden mouse Ragweed is carried far from home after reluctantly agreeing to help a raccoon, and so winds up in Dimwood Forest. Ready at last to strike off on his own, he soon hears a cry for help, and answering it brings him to Poppy, a deer mouse, beginning the friendship whose end the series' first book told, in a story fans of the earlier Dimwood Forest tales will recognise.
