Synopsis
Set on the frontier of the First Law world, Red Country follows Shy South, who returns home to find her farm burned and her younger siblings abducted, and sets off in pursuit alongside her reluctant stepfather Lamb, a quiet man hiding a violent past he would rather leave behind. Their search draws them into local feuds, a chaotic gold rush drawing prospectors and opportunists from across the frontier, and an uneasy alliance with a mercenary captain and his lawyer, whose own agendas complicate Shy and Lamb's hunt for the missing children. As the journey pushes Lamb closer to confronting the past he has tried to bury, the pair's pursuit takes them through increasingly lawless frontier territory in search of answers.
