Synopsis
Gin Blanco, also known as the assassin the Spider, has a price on her head, and it is growing as she investigates the Circle, a secret society behind much of Ashland's crime. While she tries to enjoy the run-up to her friends' wedding, an old enemy returns to town and Circle operatives begin watching her. She keeps digging for evidence against the group, uncovering darker secrets that put her and her friends in greater danger. The story builds toward a betrayal that hits her harder than anything the Circle has done so far, testing her loyalties. The novel is the eighteenth book in Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin series, set in the city of Ashland.
