Synopsis
The immortal Elves Riatha and Aravan are caring for Bair, a three-year-old whom they call the Impossible Child. Bair is the son of an Elf and a shape-changing Baeran, and a prophecy says he may be the Hope of the World, perhaps the long-foretold Rider of the Planes. Unaware of the danger around him, he joins his friend Aravan on a quest to consult the yellow-eyed demon Ydral. The oracle warns them to prepare for a coming time of chaos, and they must save the world from several dangers while time runs short.
