Synopsis
Shade is a young Silverwing bat, the runt of his colony, but despite this he is determined to prove his worth. During the colony's migration south he is whisked away by a storm and separated from the only thing he has ever known, his family, and is quickly forced to face the uncertainties of life on a journey to rejoin them. Desperately searching for a way back to his flock, he meets a remarkable cast of characters: Marina, a Brightwing bat with a strange metal band on her leg; Zephyr, a mystical albino bat with an unusual gift; and Goth, a gigantic carnivorous vampire bat. In this epic story of adventure and suspense, Shade will need all the help he can find if he hopes ever to see his family again. The first Silverwing book, adapted into an animated television series.
