Synopsis
Some Summer Lands closes out the Atlan Saga and, unlike the earlier volumes, is narrated by Seka, Cija's daughter by Zerd, rather than by Cija herself. As the continent of Atlan is consumed by escalating catastrophe, mother and daughter are driven through further hardship and encounters with the strange and mystical forces that have shadowed the family throughout the series. Atlan itself is ultimately destroyed rather than allowed to fall to conquest, leaving Cija, Seka and Zerd among the survivors forced to seek out a new life beyond the ruins of the world that has defined the saga, bringing the multi-generational story that began in The Serpent to a close.
