Synopsis
Megan is an artist who fills her sketchbooks with tidepools, sea creatures and the shoreline of the Pacific Northwest town where she lives. Jonah, her partner, runs a shop full of curios. Their quiet routine starts to slip. Megan finds details in her drawings that she does not remember putting there, and she is drawn to Adam Fin, a jewelry maker whose work seems to carry the sea inside it. Jonah distrusts Fin, yet he has his own attraction, to a singer at a local pub. Strange visitors from Faerie begin to circulate through the town, and the pull of the water grows stronger for both of them. The novel follows the couple as they are tempted to leave the land behind and enter a world beneath the waves.
