Synopsis
Gin Blanco, the semi-retired assassin known as the Spider, waits nervously outside the door of Owen Grayson, a businessman who accepts both her past and her present. Her private life is overshadowed by a threat from Mab Monroe, the cold-blooded Fire elemental who runs Ashland's underworld. Mab has hired Elektra LaFleur, a skilled assassin with electrical magic, to trap Gin, and Gin plans to kill LaFleur first, though she may not survive the fight. Mab has also ordered LaFleur to kill Gin's baby sister, Detective Bria Coolidge. Bria does not know that Gin is her long-lost sibling, or that Gin is the killer she has been hunting through Ashland, and keeping those secrets could get them both killed.
