Synopsis

Charlie Bone's third year at Bloor's Academy brings a few changes: a new art teacher, Mr Boldova, and a new student named Belle, who lives with the Yewbeam aunts and seems to have a strange power over them, her eyes constantly changing colour. Emma and Charlie soon discover Mr Boldova's secret identity: he is the older brother of Ollie Sparks, the boy who lives in the attics of the school. Ollie had always been prying into matters that did not concern him, so old Ezekiel Bloor had him made invisible, by an ancient blue snake with feathers, and when Charlie and his friends find him, alone and hungry, they promise to help him become visible again, a task in which only the blue boa itself can help. The third book of the Children of the Red King, published in the United States as Charlie Bone and the Invisible Boy.

Notes

  • From the series record (Children of the Red King): Also marketed as the 'Charlie Bone' series (US title convention). A separate prequel trilogy, Chronicles of the Red King (2011-2013), covers Red King backstory and is not included here.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings, but they resolve to the exact same sequence for this book, so one combined line is shown instead of two identical ones.
