Synopsis
Eleven-year-old Zebedee Bolt is taken by the evil harpy Morg into Crackledawn, an Unmapped kingdom that conjures sunlight for our world. Zeb joins Oonie and her talking chameleon, Mrs Fickletint, on an enchanted boat. To stop Morg he must find the courage to trust others, summon a dragon, and find the Ember Scroll. The book is the fourth in Abi Elphinstone's middle-grade fantasy series The Unmapped Chronicles, though the publisher notes that it can be read on its own, and it follows a boy who has to learn to rely on new friends while a threat to the kingdom grows.
