Synopsis
The Devils opens the series of the same name with a company of misfits assembled and bound to service by the Church: a cursed knight, a pirate, a werewolf, a vampire, a necromancer, and an elf, led by a monk named Brother Diaz and nicknamed the devils for their unruly reputations. Their assignment is to escort a young woman named Alex, a former thief who turns out to be the secret heir to the throne of Troy, safely to that city, a journey complicated from the outset by the enmity of her late aunt Eudoxia's sons, who oppose her claim and want her dead before she can reach it.
