Synopsis
The Edge of Worlds is the fourth novel in The Books of the Raksura series. Groundlings from the Empire of Kish arrive at the Indigo Cloud court seeking help to enter a sealed ancient city at the edge of the world's shallow seas, near the impassable ocean, believing it to be an ancestral home of their people. The Raksura suspect instead that the city was built by their own distant ancestors, the Forerunners, and fear it may be another dangerous, sealed-off prison, a worry sharpened by visions the court has been having of a disaster that could threaten every Raksuran court in the Reaches. Moon, still adjusting to life in his new colony, joins sister queen Jade and a small team investigating the city, and their expedition becomes a race against the predatory Fell, who have also found the ruins and may unleash whatever is sealed within.
