Synopsis

After their parents vanish without a trace, sisters Sabrina and Daphne Grimm are sent to live with a grandmother they had believed was dead. In the strange town of Ferryport Landing she tells them the truth: their ancestors, the Brothers Grimm, did not invent fairy tales but recorded real cases of magical trouble, and the family has been solving them ever since. When a giant starts wrecking the town, the girls take up the family trade for the first time. They must work out who set the giant loose, and the suspects include the town's mayor, a former prince, and several fairy-tale characters with old grudges against the Grimm family.
