Synopsis
Marina Roeswood has spent seventeen years being raised in rural Cornwall by foster parents who are themselves Elemental Masters, kept largely ignorant of why her biological parents sent her away from London as an infant. When her birth parents die and Marina is abruptly recalled to inherit their estate, she comes under the guardianship of a sinister aunt whose intentions prove far from benevolent. As Marina begins to uncover the truth behind her hidden upbringing and the magical dangers that shadowed her family, she must develop her own Elemental abilities quickly enough to protect herself from the threat closing in around her new household, drawing on both her Cornish foster family's teachings and unexpected allies among London's magical community.
