Synopsis

Twelve-year-old Sophie's parents run the Dreamcatcher Bookshop, which hides a business that bottles and sells dreams. Sophie does not dream herself, and when she drinks a stolen dream, the monster inside it becomes her friend and sidekick. When her parents and two students disappear, she sets out to find them, helped by Monster and by Ethan, a boy plagued by nightmares. Along the way she has to work out which of the adults connected with the shop she can trust, and which are using the dream trade for their own ends, while whoever is behind the disappearances stays one step ahead of her.
