Synopsis

Sixteen-year-old Ruby Park has been passed between relatives while her parents are in prison. She now moves in with her uncle Simon Goodnight, an unconventional man who says he runs a detective agency. Ruby wants to earn his trust, but she cannot help noticing that his clients are strange creatures who cannot go out in public. When Simon is arrested for murder, Ruby and her friends have to work out who is really responsible and clear his name. They must also keep the secrets of the agency's clients safe, and avoid the dangers posed by the creatures themselves.
