Synopsis
Set in the dwarven realm of Kayolin in the era after the War of Souls, this novel follows political and military conflict between Kayolin and its neighboring dwarven nation of Thorbardin as old grudges resurface. Rival dwarven factions maneuver for power and legitimacy while outside threats stir in the mountain depths, pulling the two kingdoms toward open war.
