Synopsis
Kevin Malone is a boy with a violent father who invents a private realm called Fayre Farre, where he is the hero and can escape his home life. Amy, a fourteen-year-old dealing with troubles of her own, is roller-skating in New York's Central Park when she slips into that realm by accident. In Fayre Farre she meets Kevin's creations and learns that a dark ruler, the White Warrior Anglower, threatens the land and the boy who dreamed it up. With help from new companions, Amy takes Kevin's side against Anglower. Along the way she has to face her grief over the death of her cousin, and she finds that the imagined kingdom reflects real pain from the world outside it.
