Synopsis

The Lion's Tusk is a short story set in Robert Jackson Bennett's Shadow of the Leviathan world, published by Amazon Original Stories in 2026. On a long carriage journey, investigator Ana Dolabra recounts to her assistant Din a centuries-old, unsolved murder: a lavish noble wedding that ended when the newlyweds were found dead in their marriage bed.

Notes

  • An Amazon Original Stories 'Magic & Mystery' anthology entry (#3), published July 28, 2026, featuring Ana Dolabra and Din investigating a 182-years-cold murder case during a carriage journey -- not a numbered Shadow of the Leviathan volume. Registered Expanded Canon. Resolves a previously flagged standing lead that had been waiting on the Magic & Mystery anthology's contents/publication to be confirmed; now published and confirmed.

Publication order and internal chronology are tracked as two separate orderings and are never conflated: a book's place in one says nothing about its place in the other.

  • Publication order, within Shadow of the Leviathan (standalone work): position 4 of 4: previous A Trade of Blood (2026)
