Synopsis
The Olympian Affair continues the Cinder Spires series after the events of The Aeronaut's Windlass. Tensions between Spire Albion and the aggressive Spire Aurora have escalated, and word spreads that Aurora has developed a devastating new weapon capable of annihilating an entire spire's population. To avert open war, the Spirearch sends Captain Francis Grimm and his airship crew on a diplomatic mission to a trade summit hosted by the neutral Spire Olympia, hoping to secure alliances that could offset Aurora's advantage. Amid the summit's maneuvering, Auroran agents work to provoke an incident that could force other spires into taking sides, while a powerful Auroran etherealist sets loose a monstrous threat, leaving Grimm's mission balanced between fragile diplomacy and the growing likelihood of catastrophe.
