Synopsis
Prime Minister Fabian Everyman, the earthly avatar of Nyarlathotep, means to complete his union with his god by poisoning the ageing Queen Elizabeth II and turning the ritual that follows to his own ends. Michael Armstrong, the Laundry's Senior Auditor, who put Everyman in power in the first place, sets out to sabotage the plan by bringing another entity, the King in Yellow, into play. Bob Howard and Mo O'Brien investigate the poisoning, cross paths with many characters from earlier books and are swept up in the collision of the two schemes. The final novel of the main series, it brings the story of the Laundry to a close.
