Synopsis
Hegel and Manfried Grossbart are German peasants of the fourteenth century who make their living robbing graves, and who dream of following their grandfather to Egypt, where tombs full of treasure are plentiful. Spitting on a grave mound in the pouring rain, the brothers vow that they will rest in the grand tombs of the Infidel or not at all, and they set out on their quest. Told in the manner of a Brothers Grimm tale, their journey veers between outright horror, gross bodily comedy and laugh-aloud absurdity, as the brothers vanquish each challenge in their path.
