Synopsis

Zane Obispo has always loved exploring the dormant volcano near his home in New Mexico with his dog, Rosie, far more than going to middle school, where other kids mock the disability that leaves him with one good leg. What he does not know is that the volcano is a gateway to another world, and that he is at the centre of a powerful prophecy. When a mysterious creature crashes into his life one night, Zane learns that his physical difference is only the first clue to a family history that ties him to the Maya gods: his father is Hurakan, the god of storms, fire and wind, which makes Zane a godborn, and puts him in mortal danger.
