Synopsis
The Unholy Consult concludes the Aspect-Emperor series, part of the wider Second Apocalypse universe set two decades after the events of the Prince of Nothing trilogy. As the Great Ordeal finally reaches the Consult's ancient stronghold at Golgotterath, the campaign Anasûrimbor Kellhus launched years earlier arrives at its decisive confrontation, bringing the empire-spanning conflict he has built and led to a head. The threads pursued separately by Drusas Achamian and other characters across the preceding volumes converge with the military campaign, as the true nature of the threat the Ordeal was raised to stop, and of Kellhus's own extraordinary rise, comes under direct and final pressure.
