Synopsis

Thongor of Valkarth is a barbarian warrior in Lemuria, a prehistoric continent where humans live under the shadow of the old Dragon Kings and their reptilian descendants. The serpent men are plotting to restore the empire of the Dragon Kings and rule the world again. Thongor, drawn into the struggle as the champion of humanity, allies himself with companions and with the wizard Sharajsha, a sage who opposes the serpent men. Together they set out to block the scheme before the ancient power returns to the land. The book is the first in Lin Carter's Thongor series and his first published novel.
